You can delete your NVBDS Blood account and the personal information attached to it at any time. There are two ways to do it.
In the app
- Open the NVBDS Blood app and sign in.
- Go to the Profile tab.
- Tap Delete account at the bottom.
- Enter your password to confirm.
Deletion happens immediately. You do not need to contact us.
Without the app
If you have already uninstalled the app, email us from the address your account is registered to:

Subject: Account deletion request
Please send it from the registered address so we can confirm the request is yours. We will delete the account and reply to confirm, normally within 7 days. You can also sign in on this website first if you are not sure which address you used.
What gets deleted
Your name, email address, phone number, street address, date of birth, gender, weight and profile picture are erased. Your donor profile is removed from public donor searches, any blood request you posted is withdrawn and stripped of its contact and patient details, and you are signed out on every device.
What is kept
Records of donations you have already made are kept without your name or contact details attached. These anonymised records cannot be used to identify you. We keep them because a donation establishes when the next one is medically safe, and because they form part of the society’s donation records and public statistics.
